- How do I place a custom cake order?
If you know the cake design you want, you can call in your order during normal business
hours at (817) 488-7580. If you’re not sure what cake design you want, you are welcome
to come by during business hours and one of our Cake designers will gladly assist
you in designing your cake. If possible, it is a good idea to bring an invitation
or party napkin for design inspiration. For Wedding cakes, it is suggested that
you call ahead to schedule an appointment for a Free consultation with cake tasting.

- How far in advance should I order a custom cake?
If you have a complex cake design which requires handmade sugar paste flowers or
characters we recommend 2 weeks’ notice, so the sugar paste items have time to harden.
For less complex Party cakes, it is advised to give us a full weeks’ notice. If
you don’t have a full weeks’ notice, we understand and will do our best to accommodate
your order with cake flavors already planned on our Baking production schedule.
For last minute gatherings, we do carry 6 varieties of cupcakes as well as a couple
party cakes in stock daily. For Wedding cakes, popular dates fill up quickly, so
it is recommended to book your date 6 months ahead of time. Feel free to call us
to check if your wedding date is still available.

- What is the price range for specialty cakes?
Standard decorated 8 inch round birthday cakes start at $50 for local pick up. This
size cake serves about 12 - 16 birthday cake slices. Two tier cakes start at $125.
Sculpted cakes start at $150. Prices go up from there based on size and complexity.

- What is the price range for wedding cakes?
Wedding cakes iced in buttercream start at $4 per serving, so if you want a cake
to serve 100 people, you can expect the price to start around $400. Fondant cakes
are $1 more per serving. A good rule of thumb is that the more elaborate, intricate,
and time consuming the cake is, the greater price range you should expect. We DO
NOT charge extra for fillings or different flavors of cake. It’s your cake…it should
be the flavor you want.

- What makes your cupcakes different?
Our cupcakes are “The Best in Town”. They are baked fresh with our own special recipes
using only the finest ingredients. Our flavors are a variety of classic and contemporary.
Some cupcakes have a yummy filling for an extra burst of flavor. Our cupcakes are
iced in unique icings such as chocolate ganache and poured fondant that give a very
smooth appearance.

- Can I order cupcakes to be picked up on the same day?
Yes, for local pickup. Simply call our store at (817) 488-7580 during business hours
and we will let you know what selections are available. We make 6 flavors of cupcakes
daily, so we cannot guarantee all of our cupcake varieties will be available for
same day orders but we will make sure you are pleased with your assortment.

- Do you offer custom cupcakes for local pick up?
Yes, we will gladly customize your cupcakes for local pick up. We can decorated
them with polka dots, stars, stripes, flowers, confetti, company logos, baby booties
and a many more decorating options. Custom orders must be placed by calling or coming
by our store during normal business hours.

- Do you offer cupcakes for weddings?
Yes. Our cupcakes are the perfect ending to a casual or outdoor wedding. Cupcakes
also make a great Wedding favor when individually boxed. Wedding cupcakes are available
to order by calling or coming by our store. Please speak to one of our Cake designers
about special decorations such as sugar flowers, sanding sugar, scrolling or piped
monograms to coordinate with your wedding design.

- Do you offer cupcake stands for my special event?
Yes, we do have medium and large cupcake display stands available for rent. We also
have several smaller cupcake stands for FREE loan out with purchase of 2 dozen cupcakes
or more. Stands may only be rented or borrowed in conjunction with the purchase
of our cupcakes. If you require a stand for your event we encourage you to place
your order in advance to ensure stand availability. Stands are available for local
orders only and cannot be shipped.

- Do you rent silver cake plateau stands for weddings?
Yes, we do. The large round or square silver cake plateau rents for $75 and the
small round silver plateau rents for $50. Silver plateaus may only be rented in
conjunction with the purchase of a cake. Plateaus must be returned the following
Tuesday after the wedding.

- Do you offer delivery & set-up for my special event?
Yes, we do. Delivery and set-up is available throughout the Dallas and Fort Worth
area, and beyond within driving distance. Delivery fee is based on proximity to
our store. Please contact us for pricing details. We also offer Door-to-Door LOCAL
cake delivery. Consider sending a Special Occasion cake garnished with fresh flowers!

- Do you use Nuts in your cupcakes and cakes?
Yes, we do use nuts in some of our cakes and icings such as Carrot cake, Italian
Cream cake and German Chocolate cake. Although we go to great lengths to avoid any
cross contamination, nuts are on the premises, so we do not recommend consuming
our cupcakes or cakes if you have a severe nut allergy. We do not have peanuts on-site.

- Do you make gluten free/sugar free/dairy free cakes?
Yes, we make a delicious Gluten Free and Dairy Free Chocolate Devil’s Food cake.
Sorry, we do not offer a sugar free cake at this time.

- How are my cupcakes and cake order shipped?
We take great care and pride when shipping our products. All cupcake and cake orders
are shipped with our custom shipping method. Our shipping packaging is designed
to ensure your cupcakes and cakes arrive at their destination looking as they are
presented both at our store and online. To ensure the freshness and quality of our
cupcakes and cakes; they are baked fresh, flash frozen, shrink-wrapped and carefully
packaged in sturdy inner corrugated boxes. They are then packed in Styrofoam shippers
with frozen gel packs to maintain a cool temperature during transit.

- Why do you use Overnight Shipping?
Cupcakes and Cakes are shipped overnight to ensure freshness of the product, as
well as minimize possible shipping damage.

- What’s your shipping policies for Cupcakes & Cakes?
We ship cupcakes and cakes Tuesday through Thursday, via Overnight Carrier (usually
UPS), for next day arrival. All orders received after 12:00 pm Central/Standard
time will be processed the next shipping day. Orders received Friday through Sunday
will be shipped the following Tuesday. You can place orders in advance for future
delivery dates; simply email us at
info@elegantcakery.com with your name, phone number, order number
and desired delivery date. Your order will be delivered on or just before the requested
date. Sorry, but NO deliveries can be made to PO Boxes, APO or FPO locations. Delivery
outside the 48 Continental United States is not available at this time. We will
provide a tracking number from FedEx or UPS to the email address provided on the
order form that will provide details of the shipment.
In most cases the shipment is expected to arrive by the end of the delivery day
listed above. Some shipments will arrive sooner due to their proximity near our
facility, and some a day later. We ship our packages overnight with "No Signature
Required" which allows the UPS driver to leave the package at the destination. However,
it is up to the discretion of the UPS delivery person whether to leave the package
or not. Therefore, we HIGHLY recommend that someone be available to accept the shipment.
If possible, have your order shipped to a place of business where someone is always
there to accept a delivery. For residential shipments, we cannot be held responsible
for packages left at an address when someone is out-of-town. Please make sure the
recipient will be home before submitting an order. We cannot be responsible for
packages that arrive late, cannot be delivered due to signature requirements, or
do not arrive at all to Schools, Colleges, or Universities due to addresses that
are not deliverable by UPS. Many schools have Post Office mailing addresses for
students to which UPS cannot deliver to. If you are shipping to a school, we recommend
calling the school ahead of time to obtain a correct shipping address of the student
prior to placing your order. Any specific delivery instructions should be emailed

or noted in the comments box at checkout. It is very important to include the recipient's
phone number to aid the shipping carrier in finding the address. No credit will
be issued if recipient does not find the package on the delivery date, or the package
is stolen by the neighbors, taken by a door to door salesman, eaten by a stray dog,
etc. We assume no responsibility for packages that are left or returned because
of an unsuccessful delivery. Be sure to inspect your package upon arrival. If there

- What do you charge for Shipping?
Shipping charges are based on total shipping weight and destination zip code. Shipping
charges for retail items will be automatically assessed at online checkout.

- What is your refund Policy on Cupcakes and Cakes?
There are absolutely NO REFUNDS on Cupcakes and Cakes. Once your perishable shipment
leaves our facility, they are at the mercy of the carrier. We take every precaution
in packing to protect your cupcakes or cake from damage during shipping. Any unlikely
damage that is incurred during shipping is the responsibility of the carrier. Damage
claims should be reported directly to the carrier. Shipping refunds may not be given
for shipping delays caused by inclement weather, package refusal, and/or incomplete
or incorrect delivery address.

- How do I care for my Shipped Cupcakes or Cake?
If you don't plan on eating your cupcakes or cake the same day they arrive, keep
them in the inner corrugated box and place them in the freezer immediately to keep
it at its peak flavor and quality. We do not recommend freezing cupcakes or cakes
for more than 14 days. We don't recommend storage in refrigerators as they have
a tendency to dry the cake out. For best flavor, thaw your Cupcakes or Cake at room
temperature for 3 to 4 hours before serving. Once thawed, DO NOT re-freeze them…...Please
Eat them! We want you to enjoy them at their freshest.

- Why are cupcakes more expensive online than in the store?
Many special steps and care are required to package and handle cupcakes and cakes
properly for shipping. There is a great deal of added labor, packaging costs, and
shipping & handling costs which have to be added to the price. But they are
well worth the price!

- Can you customize decorations on shipped cupcakes?
Yes, somewhat. We can add some decorations to ship with your order. Note your special
request in the comment box at check out. For Example you could type: “Please include
Pink Baby shower decorations on my order”. Keep in mind that cake decorations on shipped
orders may be somewhat limited, since some decorations cannot be shipped successfully,
We will do our best to accommodate your request within our shipping
limitations. Call us if you need more information before placing your order.

- Do you offer corporate discounts for cupcake and cakes?
Yes, cupcake and cakes are perfect for corporate marketing promotions, customer
appreciation gifts, employee incentive programs, thank you gifts, holidays and other
occasions. When 10 or more of the same cake or cupcake pack are ordered to be shipped,
we do offer a discount. We will be happy to include your business card, greeting
card or promotional material in our gift packages. Email your questions or requests

- How will my retail purchases ship?
Retail items (non-perishable items) such as Wedding cake toppers or Cake serving
knife sets ship directly from the manufacture. Therefore, shipping times do vary.
See product description and our terms of use page for more information. If wedding
accessories are being ordered, it is advised that you order at least 3 weeks before
your wedding date. Please note your event date in comments section at checkout.
Shipping charges for retail items will be automatically assessed at checkout. All
retail shipments are usually shipped via UPS ground. A tracking number will be emailed
to you directly for your convenience.

- What is your Return Policy for Cake toppers?
We at Elegant Cakery want you to be satisfied with your purchase. All return requests
for unwanted Retail items such as Cake toppers must be made within 5 days of receiving
the order. Only sealed, UNUSED Retail merchandise in its original packaging will
be accepted. To receive credit: FIRST – Email our customer service department at
info@elegantcakery.com
and obtain a return merchandise authorization number (RMA). Your RMA number must
be clearly printed on the outside of the box. No returns will be accepted without
the RMA number clearly printed on the outside of the box. No returns will be accepted
14 days after an RMA number has been issued to you. Return shipping is the customer's
responsibility. Please ship your package with adequate insurance for the value of
the contents. If your merchandise is lost or damaged while returning, Elegant Cakery
will not assume responsibility. Enclose the sales receipt from Elegant Cakery (or
photocopy of original). Once a return package is received, a refund will be issued
to you minus the 20% restocking charge. Damaged Items? For Damaged
Goods Claim, save your shipping box! It needs to be inspected by the carrier. Claims
cannot be made for damaged goods if the box is discarded. Contact our customer service

to report damaged goods within 2 days of receipt of product. A return merchandise
authorization will be given to you UPS or FedEx will pick up your package within
7 days. A refund or replacement will be issued to you when we receive the damaged
goods providing all conditions of our return policy are met. Refused Orders?
Any order sent to a customer that is refused will be charged the shipping
costs plus a restocking charge of 20%. Returned Orders Due to Incorrect Address?
If your order is returned to us due to an incorrect address given by the
customer at the time of ordering, we will re-ship the order at the customer’s expense.
If the customer chooses not to have the order re-shipped, they will be charged a
20% restocking charge plus the original shipping charges.
